A new season to ‘Made in Iran’ series previously aired on ifilm is in development with Iranian director Borzou Niknejad selected to lead the project.

The production stage for new installment of the series is set to begin shortly and  will be available for home viewing, a local media report reveals, adding ‘Made in Iran’ may roll in China.

In a media interview, the director answering a question whether Mohammad Reza Golzar and Amin Hayai reprise the roles in the fresh installment said, “Nothing is certain and the cast is yet to be finalized.”

‘Made in Iran’  followed the story of an Iranian scientist came up with an invention that could change the world – a white powder that purifies any type of water and converts it into clean fuel.

However, a two-bit thief named Gholam steals his briefcase containing the white powder and a laptop with the formula for it. On the run from the cops, he leaves Iran with a forged passport as the scientist. He goes to France and meets up with his childhood buddy, and the two of them scheme to sell the invention and make a fortune.
